I recently heard a bit from different sources about the benefits of chiropractic care and how it was for whole body/overall wellness and health and I went looking online for a highly rated chiropractor in my area and came across Essential Life. I went on my first visit to Dr Curly feeling excellent overall but with nagging headaches and pressure behind my eyes most likely due to some inflammation and infection in my sinuses. Between her adjustments and other natural remedies she told me to do at home, the headaches were gone probably within 12-24 hours of leaving her office! Since then I haven’t had a headache and feel absolutely amazing! Tons of energy, focus, and just great overall, and I keep going to maintain optimal health in all facets of my life. She’s like having a doctor on call who actually knows about anatomy and biology unlike most doctors sadly who just want to push another medication on you. She helps you in so many ways and allows your body to do what it needs to and heal like it was designed to do. My wife also goes with me and she is about 2/3 the way through her pregnancy and Dr Curley has given us such amazing advise about pregnancy in general, birthing process, alternatives to what the traditional medical model offers, etc and it’s been a game changer. My wife occasionally suffers from sciatic in her lower back and Dr Curley has worked absolute wonders for her. Even after being on her feet all day, she feels great. She also helps with certain techniques which decrease the odds of a breach baby and other complications that may arise with pregnancy which is great. That said, not only is she excellent at what she does, she’s also super friendly, answers all our questions and will sit with the us to discuss whatever we want to talk about for as long as it takes for her to answer our questions, and we have a lot of them because it’s actually nice to speak with someone who knows about the human body! She even made calls to find information out about other things we were discussing without us even asking and then called my wife to let us know what she found out, etc. attention to detail is second to none and true personalized care! Can’t say enough about Dr Curly and her practice, highly recommend, A+++
We have been going here for almost a year. I started taking my son at 4 months old because he was waking up every hour with awful reflux, and would spit up all day. After about a month of going, his reflux completely stopped and he rarely spit up. I decided to take my other two kids age 2 and 4. My 4 year old was having growing pains, nightmares and chronic croup. After going for about a month and taking the supplements recommended, he had only had one nightmare this past year and went from having croup every month for a year, to croup just one time this year. My daughter sees OT for her mouth since her jaw shifts and going to Dr.Curley has helped keep it alignment , and she was having issues with constipation. Again, after about 2 months, she became more regular. I now go myself, and can honestly say that this has been a huge benefit to my family. My kids have barely been sick this year and we have not had to go to the pediatrician at all. Lauren is always so helpful at the front desk with my kids and will answer any questions. I have messaged Dr. Curley multiple times for advice, and she has always steered me to an option that makes sense for our family whether it was a better toothpaste option for my son with soft teeth, a supplement or option other than an antibiotic. We also do not have generic insurance so they have a bundled plan that makes sense for our family visits even if you aren’t in network. We end up paying less than we would on the insurance. We now go monthly just for regular maintenance unless one of the kids are catching a cold, and it always lessens the degree to where they aren’t sick. There are not enough good things we could say!
I highly recommend Desiree , when 1st visiting I was in a lot of pain with Sciatica. After 3 weeks, I’m pain free. She’s great to work with!

I was unable to sleep, unable to walk, unable to move properly without advil. My sciatic nerve on my leg got so bad, constant pain, couldn't stand or sit straight, my leg even looked an inch longer than the other! I thought there was something very wrong, but Dr. Curley gave me many suggestions, how to sleep, what to use for pain relief, a treatment in the office, what to stay away from, a little work out routine, knowledge of crucial components to my diet. It took a while for the pain to fade but I am so thankful to say I'm back to normal within a couple months. I still go back once a month! Always relaxing, well worth a trip just for a crack or if you need help the way I did. 100% recommend!

I always knew I wanted to go to Desiree because my friend spoke so highly of her but then when I saw she sponsored an event in the borough on Memorial Day, I was even more intrigued to go because I love people who support the town in which we live in, but that was just the icing on the cake, when I called the office To make an appointment when I thought I was speaking to the receptionist it was Desiree who took the time to speak with me herself. She just happened to be in the office even though they were closed.
She walked me through everything I needed to know in order to bring myself and my nine-year-old daughter there. I had a specific need that I needed her to understand for my daughter, and she was extremely knowledgeable and apprehensive to help me with all that I needed. When we had our first appointment, I felt like a breath of fresh air was given to me. Desiree was so calm and gentle with my daughter that it put me at such ease. It’s the little things like that that go away very long way when you are trying to show your children how important chiropractic care is. As Time passed and our sessions went on everything that Desiree explained to us in our first visit started to come to life. For example ;the first time in over Six months I never took a Motrin, and hadn’t had a headache. This is a huge hurdle for me And among all things, she helped my daughter in ways. I never knew she needed.

She is so kind and gentle when i bring the kids and is always there to lend a helping hand while i get my adjustment and my sons need a binky or a book to play with! My infants visits have shown great success in 4 short weeks allowing him to ease his reflux and help his stiff neck. I have also been able to get back to feeling like myself post partum. I've been seeing Dr. Curley for a little over a year now. She's always friendly and personable at each visit. She listens and truly wants to help each and every patient. dr. curley has been my chiropractor for longer than i can remember at least 15 years. i honestly don't know what I'd do with out her. sometimes i wake up and can't move then after a few adjustments I'm back to brand new ❤️ highly highly highly recommended 🙌
